Maandag 05/11

Op het programma stonden er tal van community services en project work in gemengde groepjes van Esten, Schotten en Belgen. En dat alles tegen de pittoreske achtergrond van de Schotse Lowlands. Drumlanrig Castle (uit bijvoorbeeld de serie Outlander), ligt vlakbij het nieuwe schoolgebouw in Thornhill.

Dinsdag 06/11

We ontbeten vandaag in tradionele stijl met worstjes, bonen in tomatensaus en de full English breakfast. Daarna moesten we immers hard werken en presenteren in deel 2 van ons projectwerk. We toonden ook in een food court wat onze Belgische specialiteiten zijn, en onze Schotsen en Estse collega's deden hetzelfde. Daarna speelden we dodgeball en we beëindigden de dag bij een heuse bonfire. Top!

Woensdag 07/11

Wednesday we made a long walk through the woods of the castle Drumlandrig. We visited Durisdeer and we learned a lot about the valley and the cemetery. 
At the end of the day we went to Morton castle which was surrounded by a lake. It was extremely cold but worth the walk. 

Donderdag 07/11

We arrivered at Edinburgh around 11am after a long drive trough the Lowlands of Scotland! After that we went to the National museum of Scotland, it has 7 floors full of history, the 7th floor was a rooftopbar. Unfortunatly that was  closed. Then we headed to the Edinburgh Castle! In the Edinburgh Castle we had 1 hour to look inside. It was very nice. After we had visited the Castle we went back to the museum to wait for the bus which broke down so we had to wait a bit before we could go back. We also went to the grave yard were JK Rowling got her inspiration for the names of the characters of the Harry Potter-books. The names she used were all names of people who lay buried there.

Vrijdag 08/11

Today it was family day. Mathis, Victor, Krejs and Gaetan went to an escape room in Glasgow with their Exchange students. Hendrik went for a walk with his family. Henri went hunting. Thibo and Pieter went to the local football.  Charles and Thibault also went into Glasgow with their exchange students. The others went out with their families.
